Once the clinical interview is complete, testing begins. This includes the administration of paper-and-pencil or computer-based tests as well as responding to questions out loud. It typically takes several hours to complete a battery of tests, but those hours can be split up over several days when necessary.
After all the necessary tests have been administered, Dr. Kacmarski will review and analyze the test results. Test results are then combined with information from the clinical interview and other records information that you shared into a comprehensive report. The report outlines your concerns, your performance on various tests, what the test results indicate about your current functioning, relevant diagnoses, and recommendations for next steps or ways to help with any identified difficulties.
Finally, during a follow up appointment that typically takes place several weeks after testing has been completed, Dr. Kacmarski will review the results of your evaluation, discuss any new diagnoses with you, provide you with recommendations to help guide your care moving forward, and answer any questions that you may have about the evaluation results and what they mean for you.
